I have just seen a Just For Men advert where you just comb in the colour and it sops developing automatucally when its finished developing I assume.

So AIBU to think that men have it easier than women disguising their grey hairs as I know that if their was a product like that for women I would buy it!

Honestly - what a cheek! Shock

I am lol - I love my red hair. It's my best feature. Take a hike Tee!! Grin

Mrsjay · 02/08/2012 11:37

Red doesn't stay in my hair very long these days what that really means is it doesn't hide the grey long enough Grin

manicbmc · 02/08/2012 11:39

I find I have a mind of my own! Who would have thought it. Hmm

I'm a size 20, 42 year old woman, with 2 kids nearly grown up. I wear very little make up but when I do, it's because I want to and not because some glossy magazine/the media/society has told me I have to.

And now I shall tootle off into town, without make up, to buy my poor dp some underwear as he appears to have farted the backsides out of his. Grin

I do mine every four weeks. I have short hair so it's ok, it doesn't take long.
The bathroom is fair splattered though. Wink
Messy business.

Floggingmolly · 02/08/2012 11:40

It is a vanity thing, at least for me, because grey hair makes me look at least 10 years older Blush
Probably because it's such a contrast from ginger!

Floggingmolly · 02/08/2012 11:41

manic. Grin

Mrsjay · 02/08/2012 11:41

, when i did my dds hair a few weeks ago it looked like the phsyco scene in the bathroom Grin

pictish · 02/08/2012 11:42

I don't think my hair has been entirely its own natural colour since I was 14!

Mrsjay · 02/08/2012 11:44

Mine hasnt either, I have really dark brown hair naturally and started dying it because It was right boring it has been all sorts the worst was my very short lived blonde phase that was a disaster and it takes ages to grow/dye out, with the grey mine is white hair i have had it since dd1 was born , i was nearly 22,

pictish · 02/08/2012 11:48

I started going grey in my mid-late twenties. I think I am pretty grey all over now, but I'm not actually all that sure, seeing as I dye it so often.
I don't need to know, so I shant worry about it.

squoosh · 02/08/2012 11:49

Men are generally crap at dying their hair. Look at Paul McCartney.

pictish · 02/08/2012 11:50

I try not to.

Mrsjay · 02/08/2012 11:51

I don't mind looking at him so long as I can't hear him singing.

pictish · 02/08/2012 11:55

Mrsjay · 02/08/2012 11:55

TBH he doesnt really sing these days he turns up starts hey jude the audience sings he bobs his head a bit then he goes home Grin

manicbmc · 02/08/2012 11:56

And all for a pound! Grin

pictish · 02/08/2012 11:57

'Heeey Juuuude.....'

Fucking shyster!

Dprince · 02/08/2012 12:05

I have been colouring my hair since I was 16. Not to cover grey or to conform. I died very bright colours, very different to all my friends and 'magazines' that I don't read.
I dyed it 14 years ago, why shouldn't I do it now?
Anyway just for men is rubbish and I think you can spot a man that uses at 20 paces.
Love how some people think they are superior because they don't dye their hair. It always strikes me as ironic that some people think its ok to talk down to women because 'they conform' but are in fact judging women on how they look.
Why not just let people do what they want and stop the judging?

MardyArsedMidlander · 02/08/2012 13:16

I have been dyeing my hair since I was 11- not because of societal pressures or because of adverts, but because I can't imagine going through life with one hair colour!
recently, I actually dyed it grey as in my family none of the women ever went that lovely silver colour- even at 87, my nan had mousey brown hair.

It's worse for men- as men's hair dye always seems to give that Ronald Reagan matte sheen.

Floggingmolly · 02/08/2012 13:18

Mardy. Are you serious? Why would they even sell grey hair dye? Confused

squoosh · 02/08/2012 13:23

To dye your hair grey hair is quite fashiony these days.
