To think Gary Lineker doesn't seems as at ease as normal?

I've been following the Olympics coverage obsessively closely and normally I'm a big fan of GL but it seems like he's really struggling with the presenting this time round. I don't know if it's the interviewees or GL himself but so much of the time in the studio seems quite cringey compared with Claire Balding et al at the Aquatic centre.

Radio 5 live has been brilliant. Presenters with proper knowledge.

Though no-one beats Clare I agree

I think he's out of his comfort zone and struggling with the fact that rather than talking about 22 boys men and a bag of wind he's actually got to talk about real athleats.

I wonder if he has limited concentration? I think Gary Lineker is probably not that good, as a presenter, and the length of the Olympics has meant he can't hide his deficiencies as much as usual.

Why is he there anyway? When they've got Clare Balding, Mark Foster and Ian Thorpe? Even Denise Lewis would do a better job of it than Lineker. Or that Blue Peter guy, Matt Baker I think.
