Here It's local to us but there's no way i would pay that to see a film outside. Or am I a party pooper?

yes very steep!

ImaginateMum · 29/07/2012 18:30

I help run a local film club. My understanding is that any film will have a licence fee which is a %age of the audience or £100, whichever is the larger. This is if you sell tickets and are showing more than sixteen people.

So that plus the other costs all need to be covered.

We charge a bit less than that, and include wine and snacks, but are not anywhere nearly as glamourous and don't have pre-screening entertainment!

It doesn't say if it is for charity. Sad A fiver to park the car and 30 quid for tickets (plus booking fee). Then you can purchase food too if you want.

Also the film doesn't start til 8.30pm so picnic in the dark and lots of tired children. Sad

That doesn't sound great. We do our kid's films at 3 pm. I guess we are indoors though!

SparklingGoldMedals · 29/07/2012 18:51

I think I am just a bit of a grump Imaginate, I bet it will be really popular. I will end up taking my two to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3 at the normal cinema for cheaper.

Mrsjay · 29/07/2012 18:52

for an adult*

LadyKooKoo · 29/07/2012 19:54

That's not far from me but I think it is too expensive for what it is and I think it is too late for a lot of the audience.

SparklingGoldMedals · 29/07/2012 20:01

It would be quite cold by 8.30pm and if it poured with rain it would be horrible. Doesn't Worcester Cricket Ground flood at the drop of a hat too Lady?

Holy crap!! We had an event like this every year in the park next to our house. Last year they showed How to Train a Dragon, yesterday they showed Johnny English. Price? FREE!!! I never went because if small baby, but from what I could hear people were having a grand time. I would never pay that much for an open air screening of an old film!!!
