ohmysilverballs · 28/07/2012 22:27

I would :)

Tortington · 28/07/2012 22:29

ffs

RubyGates · 28/07/2012 22:29

Why?

AmIthatbad · 28/07/2012 23:30

Who?

HolyCameraConfusionBatman · 28/07/2012 23:32

YABVVVVVU to spell TV 'teevee'

Goofus · 28/07/2012 23:32

Ah, thought there'd be a link! Who?

TuftyFinch · 28/07/2012 23:32

I did.

RubyFakeNails · 28/07/2012 23:33

Yes but I think Eurovision is the perfect example people have zero concept of what is acceptable image wise.

OkGO · 28/07/2012 23:36

I said EXACTLY that to my husband when I saw her!

TuftyFinch · 28/07/2012 23:44

Don't you like my hair? I did it specially. Shall I put a head scarf on?

RubyGates · 29/07/2012 08:12

But presumably people are judging you in real-life if you've not done your roots. Why are the imaginary people on the other side of the TV screen any more important?

SuePurblybilt · 29/07/2012 08:14

whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?

mrsscoob · 29/07/2012 08:14

Why? Not everyone is obsessed with how they look, some people have more important things going on in their lives.

Fireandashes · 29/07/2012 08:17

I have no idea who this is a reference to, but unless it's a hair dye manufacturer or model demonstrating same, then presumably the state of this person's hair has no bearing on their abilities or reason to be on "international teevee" so anyone shallow enough to judge them on that basis can go swivel.

FuckerSnailInYourHedgerow · 29/07/2012 08:23

For fucks sake. You need to get out more, OP.

bejeezus · 29/07/2012 08:26

Agree with fire

I presume you are talking about a woman

Men on tv don't get judged for not 'doing their roots' do they?

I would judge men, if I saw them with roots. Like <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?hl=en&sa=X&rls=com.microsoft:en-GB:%7Breferrer:source%3F%7D&rlz=1I7DSGJ_enGB389&biw=1366&bih=681&tbm=isch&prmd=imvnso&tbnid=Zvzk5JKT1h_HlM:&imgrefurl=www.unrealitytv.co.uk/tag/andrew-stone/page/2/&docid=Oykhh_tu5IsESM&imgurl=static.unrealitytv.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/andrew-stone.jpg&w=280&h=390&ei=7eYUUJyoAoHL0QWl3oHoBg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=185&vpy=154&dur=232&hovh=265&hovw=190&tx=82&ty=119&sig=113902974186322993665&page=1&tbnh=143&tbnw=120&start=0&ndsp=19&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0,i:87" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this chap, the triple threat star in the making. I judge him all over the shop Wink

VolAuVent · 29/07/2012 11:15

YABU. Not everyone is that vain.

MushroomSoup · 29/07/2012 11:56

YABU to expect other people to have their roots done.
YANBU to say you would've got your own done (and I'd have DEF done mine, shallow or not)!
I think Ms Jackson should've done hers but I won't argue with her because she is 6ft 5

LRDtheFeministDragon · 29/07/2012 12:01

Just cos you're precious about hair colour. Wink

I think some people are more nervous about looking 'fancy' than anything else.

emmieging · 29/07/2012 12:22

If you're talking about a TV presenter, then I think YANBU, as thats about meeting certain standards - just as in many jobs you are expected to conform to a dress code and be presentable.

If you're talking about someone appearing on international TV for other reasons, then YABU.

But you don't seem about to tell us who you're on about so who knows.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 29/07/2012 14:09

Oh.

Surely if you aren't "obsessed" with how you look, you wouldn't have had significant blond/blonde highlights in the first place?

[confuaed]

And Hmm to the sexism comment.

cocolepew · 29/07/2012 14:10

Who, who, who?

ChaosTrulyReigns · 29/07/2012 14:12

LRD! I so am, but I am a completely slightly grey brunette and need them doing every 17 days!

Sometimes I wonder if growing out fashion colours is actually a statement itself?
