I'm glad Beckham was there.

Has Macca had some 'work' done?

MrsKeithRichards · 28/07/2012 00:52

It did go on a bit I was thinking just gies a match I'll light the bloody thing myself.

SunflowersSmile · 28/07/2012 00:55

It was fine until Paul.
He did the Jubilee. Surely, surely it was somebody else's turn?

CarlaBruni · 28/07/2012 01:00

How can Paul McCartney ruin Hey Jude? Confused

Methe · 28/07/2012 01:00

It was good untill McCartney. Then it was bad.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 28/07/2012 01:01

The cauldron was fab!

Loved the whole thing until Macca. Very eccentric, very British. Brilliant.

LadyEnglefield · 28/07/2012 01:04

What are the Teletubbies going to do when they wake up on the morning & find their hill is covered in flags?

harbingerofdoom · 28/07/2012 01:06

I'm cross that it turned GB/England into a retro theme park that seemed to stop at least 100 years ago.
In fact fuming......

MulberryMoon · 28/07/2012 01:08

Bold, bonkers, brilliant and British

Shenanagins · 28/07/2012 01:21

I loved it! it was relaxed and slightly made and the polar opposite to the last one.

CarlaBruni · 28/07/2012 01:23

Team GBs outfits were made by Next. Love it Grin

LadyDianaSpencer · 28/07/2012 01:37

"I'm cross that it turned GB/England into a retro theme park that seemed to stop at least 100 years ago."
How do you come to this conclusion?

Southwest · 28/07/2012 01:44

But why do the outfits have gold armpits?

WildWorld2004 · 28/07/2012 01:49

The only bit i have enjoyed so far was the modern times bit. I was playing guess the song. Did pretty good, think there was only one i didnt know.

MamaMumra · 28/07/2012 01:56

I thought it was great!

Southwest · 28/07/2012 02:01

Umm
I thought all that fawning over the NHS was a bit much and abide with me was poor and out of place

(but maybe I just dont know my cup finals)

Also loads of missed opportunities to Mark pre industrial rev history and what about science etc etc

Better speeches in Henry V surely?

Southwest · 28/07/2012 02:04

Cauldron very good and so was steel

Although I did wonder if he'd been listening to too much Cameron and was single handedly trying to redirect British Manufacturing Grin

qo · 28/07/2012 02:07

I loved most of it, I even welled up quite a bit at Emile Sande, and then again when the piece about influential british music was on (music affects me!!)

Some of the commentary was so embarrassing, there were many places I spotted it but only one comes to mind - about "how difficult it must be to choreograoh people with no natural rhythm at all"

Think it was wrong to wheel out Muhammed Ali as well, seemed a bit cruel & un-necessary, let the man have his dignity!

Paul McCartney is becoming a mockery, he really needs to learn when it's tiime to quit.

Having said all that, he cauldron was absolutely stunning, the music was FAB!!! and I enjoyed almost every part of it

Southwest · 28/07/2012 02:08

Commentating was really poor and the whole children's lit section was too

Missed the daleks

They should have lit the flame

Queen and James was fab fab fab

Have seen more than enough of Beckham and Paul M

pink Floyd would have been amazing
