To think that Waitrose bottom butter is little more than a posh pot of vaseline?

It feels exactly the same, and in fact I don't find it as nice as oridnary creams. It bit too shiny and greasy. I am sure its vaseline with a posh name.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
the Op on original thread follows me on twitter.
She messaged me to confess it had all been a piss take that went too far. She never used it at all on her body. By the time this got to the daily mail and waitrose she was more than a little sheepish.

pigletmania · 27/07/2012 12:25

It's called baby bottom butter, and smells great . It is good stuff though, masks the after poo smell after cleaning up ds if I can't give him a wash

TangoSierra · 27/07/2012 12:40

windsock - Is that so? Crikey I bet she was embarassed! Brilliant!

I love it, used it for my girls when they were babies, now I use it on my own very dry skin. I agree it's not great for your face though. A bit thick and shiny. Brilliant for healing new tattoos.

BigFatCushion · 27/07/2012 12:53

Really good for cradle cap!

becstarsky · 27/07/2012 12:54

LOL Windsock Really? I do have some - I use it for dry elbows, and as a lip balm. It smells nicer than Vaseline and isn't quite so greasy - seems to be absorbed better. And it's a lot cheaper than Eight Hour Cream. I wouldn't use it on my body or face though, far too greasy.

holyfishnets · 27/07/2012 15:02

I have slapped it on as a night cream and it's ok

Who thought, hang on although this is for babys bottoms but ill try it on my face?

LouiseAderyn · 13/03/2014 22:28

I like it. It doesn't contain loads of unnecessary chemicals, smelks nice and doesn't irritate my face.
