The poor pair with the burns.

The Father and Daughter relationship is beautiful. I wish my Father was like him. I'm so envious. His DD is so lucky.

Grin Hector the cat, perhaps it wasn't real cashmere and that's why he bit her?!
YY to the lovely relationship. I can't bear thinking about something like that happening to either of my DD's.

I agree with the sentiment that the fire should still be lit. But I think the fire being lit would be less scary for the girl given what she's been through (and safer for all three kids) if there's a guard. But they'll know that and I'm sure that's what they'll do (and what fire brigade will recommend).

I think he's a lovely father - such a caring guy and I like the way he talks to his dd and about himself. Reminds me of Robert Bathurst from cold feet though!

landofsoapandglory · 25/07/2012 21:53

DH is, and always has been, far better at coping when the children are ill or at the hospital than I am.

Pooka · 25/07/2012 21:54

Cats called hector are evil bastards. Sample of 2 - my grandmother had a cat called hector who was terrifying with his ability to appear completely asleep on the back of a chair before attacking with no provocation or build up. Back of chair at head height and I remember walking past and he swiped my ear.

Still - he was magnificent and a prolific mouser.

The cat lady's cat loves the theme tune from The Archers! Grin.

carernotasaint · 25/07/2012 21:54

Im sobbing at this too. The father and daughter are soooo lovely. Shes a gorgeous little girl.

carernotasaint · 25/07/2012 21:56

Sooo basically calling a cat Hector is like calling a little boy Damien!

Apologies to any MNers who have boys called Damien.

I burnt my dd1 when she was 3 Sad I hate to say even now she remembers it and tells me how painful the dressings were when they had to change them.
Daisy's dad is wonderful and clearly the best parent to be there.
