THIS HOT WEATHER.

Yes, it's hot and clammy.

Yes, I can't feel any breeze through the window.

Yes, the car is scorching when it's been parked in the sun.

Yes, the kitchen is like a sauna when cooking.

Yes, my feet look like they've ballooned up like a puffy fish.

BUT IT'S LOVELY SUNNY HOT WEATHER!! After all that shitty rain, it's absolutely lovely (and I normally hate hot weather).

Please don't jinx it......I don't want it to start raining again :(:(:(:(

Might have been a bit of an underestimate as at 31.7C already.

Apoundinatin · 25/07/2012 13:24

Oh yes, I totally agree! London is just GLORIOUS. It's as if it just knows the world is watching Grin

rainydaysarebad · 25/07/2012 15:29

Sidge: that is bloody disgusting!! You poor thing :(

I just had a water fight with dd in the garden - just like the old days but I went out and bought some super soaker water guns!! Yes I am a cheery bugger these days!

Shame on all the people moaning on my thread! (Wink)

I like it about 21/22C and don't mind a little rain. If it's significantly hotter, colder or wetter I do complain! But actually I don't mind the heat at the moment.

lauratheexplorer · 25/07/2012 15:38

I am not complaining! I tidied the garden and got the sun loungers out of the shed earlier :o. I am very lucky that our house is out of direct sunlight and very cool but in the winter it's freezing.

cardibach · 25/07/2012 15:39

See, I could get my head round people prefering cooler weather (although I don't) but to argue this isn't 'better' than continuous rain which flooded people out of their homes and caused deaths?
I've never heard of SAD caused by sun - I thought it was all about not enough natural sunlight. Have you got any info on how it can work the other way?

I am enjoying it atm because there is also a breeze here. Also because of all that luverly rain beforehand everything is still green and lush and the rivers and ponds are still full. I love sun, I don't love heat quite so much, But right now I'm not complaining at all. It's beautful!

babyheaves · 25/07/2012 15:44

Its rained here for the last two days pretty solidly. I have no sympathy for people in the sun!

arthurfowlersallotment · 25/07/2012 15:45

I'm in the not like camp as it's making my DD- 13 weeks- very cross
Angry

Ephiny · 25/07/2012 15:47

It is gorgeous in London. I wouldn't say warm weather is always 'better' but it does make a lovely change after all the rain we've had throughout the spring/early summer.

I think it's forecast to be cooler from Saturday onwards though.

JamieandTheOlympicTorch · 25/07/2012 15:48

It's not gorgeous. It's horrible. London above 25 is 'orrible

JamieandTheOlympicTorch · 25/07/2012 15:50

But I want it to be nice enough for the Olympics

Opening Ceremony is going to be FAB (seen it)

So there

workshy · 25/07/2012 15:54

I'm very jealous of all this sunshine everyone seems to have

it's not rained for a couple of days but I still went out in a jacket this morning

glenthebattleostrich · 25/07/2012 18:42

I love the sunshine, but at the moment we have warmth with cloud and really high humidity which triggers my asthma. This means there is a fair chance I'll end up in hospital on a nebuliser, am I allowed to complain? Wink
