to go to the hotel early?

This weekend I've off to a wedding without DP and DD (6mo), but with friends. I'm staying over in the hotel and my parents have DD, DP is working nights. GPs adore DD and are really good with her, she's never had a problem settling at night, and she's very happy with the GPs.

I could leave late Saturday afternoon and still be ready for the wedding on time - won't be back until Sunday afternoon, after all. However, I could also leave on Saturday lunchtime, check in early, and have a few hours on my own with a swimming pool, a sauna, and a book in the bar with a glass of wine...

WIBU to leave DD a few hours earlier? Can't decide if I should embrace the chance to recharge my batteries, or whether I'm being bad to leave her for longer than I actually have to!

Yes, go early and have some "me" time, and then come back and tell us what it felt like

I have never worried about leaving DD when she is being well cared for by GPs, so maybe I am weird too :)

We can be weird together then, unexpected. Sometimes I see threads on here where posters say that a few months old is far too young to be without their mum and I wonder a little if I am odd for being so happy to leave DD for lengths of time with my parents or with DP. I'm back to work f/t in about eight weeks so I guess I really should make the most of these opportunities!
