On holiday in a rented cottage and as we were there for 2 weeks we had the sheets changed in the middle. All good and fine. Until a few days later the owner approaches me with the washed sheets and asks me what I think the STAINS on one of them might be????? Blush
She says she wants to know so that she can know which stain remover to use!!!
Blush
They were small blobs of browny red and were obviously blood. Blush
Arrrgh !!!

I just muttered ignorance and wished the floor would open up and swallow me up.

She definitely knew what it was and knew it was me and I think wanted to charge me. And we still haven't had the deposit back so who knows, maybe she still will.

Is she BU for showing a guest stained sheets or am I for being so upset about it???

Please please also tell me some holiday horror stories of your own so i can ( hopefully) realise im not on my own!

Say, "Oh, sooo sorry - I think that might be a little bit of blood, that fell out of my front bottom... I'll fetch the Vanish, apparently Victoria Beckham recommends it on her blog... now, where can I buy sanpro round these parts?"

She sounds hideous - it amazes me why some people go into the hospitality business.

We stayed at a fab little B and B in Cornwall - went to a concert at the Eden Project, when we got back to our room (late!) the owner had stuck a post it note on the door saying she hoped we'd had a fab night, if there was anything we wanted ironing for the morning, leave it out on the landing table and she'd put it back as soon as it was done in the morning. Smile

She's horrible. What a nightmare! There's no need for that. It was clearly a small accident and she has a cleaning budget to cover it. I wouldn't be back there!

Poor you, OP.

I think that was so spiteful of her. Seems to me that she intended to humiliate you as some sort of 'punishment'. Nasty.

Another YANBU. What a biatch!

Here's one - some years ago while staying over for the first time at a BFs i woke early in the morning to find that i had come on quite heavily during the night ShockBlush

Worse still the bed was quite close to a window with lovely floor length curtains and our night time activities had meant, god knows how, that the they had become caught up and entangled with the bedding on my side and i'd been sleeping on them and i'd managed to get the blood all up and down the bedroom curtains ShockShock

It took me over an hours silent work with make up wipes while BF was asleep next to me to get the worst off.

BF is now DH and i've never told him. Or my new MIL! Grin
