My 3 yo DS came home from pre-school yesterday after an accident in a pre-school pair of pants & trousers. So far, so normal. Only later did I realise they'd put him in girls pants? Odd or does it just happen when in a rush? We've had accidents before but always boys pants given....

YABU. It's not the nursery's responsibility to provide spare pants, surely you should be supplying some - if you don't theyll have to make do with whatever they have that might fit.

It's just pants, itcreally means nothing.

PenisVanLesbian · 21/07/2012 23:15

What could it possibly matter? They are just pants.

controlpantsandgladrags · 21/07/2012 23:16

What's your objection to him being in girls pants exactly? Was he upset by it?

Pancakeflipper · 21/07/2012 23:17

They will just grab a pair of pants out their spare clothing box (unless they use the spares you send in their bag). They might have run out of 'boys' pants. Perhaps the parents never returned them and they only have girl ones left?

It's not odd. It's what can happen if you don't send spare clothing.

AgentZigzag · 21/07/2012 23:17

Not odd Grin

What is it you object to? Them not giving him shreddies with the appropriate, socially acceptable material?

Devora · 21/07/2012 23:18

I think they're trying to turn your son into a gayer. There's government targets for that sort of thing.

Socknickingpixie · 21/07/2012 23:18

he's 3 if he even cares what pants hes wearing it would be odd.

if it bothers you buy a packet of pants and send them with him

AgentZigzag · 21/07/2012 23:19

Grin Devora.

Rubirosa · 21/07/2012 23:19

It's a bit odd that you didn't send any spares in for him.

The problem with nursery spares is that parents are rubbish at returning them, so you get what you get. You're lucky he didn't get sent home in a pair of tights!

mynewpassion · 21/07/2012 23:20

Girl pants or naked?

luisgarcia · 21/07/2012 23:20

I'm going to need to know this soon, so, genuine q, how do 3yo girl pants differ from 3yo boy pants?

JeezyPeeps · 21/07/2012 23:21

Girls ones are more likely to be pink.

Haylebop12 · 21/07/2012 23:22

Extra room for their doodys!
I always sent dd with a bag with full set of spare clothes, usually including 3/4 pants cuz some days they just need em!

AgentZigzag · 21/07/2012 23:23

Girls pants - pink, peppa pig, flowers.

Boys pants - blue/green, ben 10, dinosaurs.

(boys just a guess I've only got girls)

MyCarHasBrokenDownAgain · 21/07/2012 23:23

Just girl's pants? That's nothing, our old nursery once put my DS is girls TROUSERS too ;-D

He also came home in pink eye shadow at one time as well ...

(he's now six, and has spent all of today with at least 4 different girls, ages ranging from 3 to 16, so it obviously hasn't done him any harm Grin )

motherofallhangovers · 21/07/2012 23:23

I picked DS up from nursery in a pair of spotty girls leggings which the nursery had put him in. Didn't bother me! Or DS - more importantly.

(I had provided spares, but it had been a day with a few accidents).

rainydaysarebad · 21/07/2012 23:23

DD once came home in boys pants...orange ones from Next. Yuck.

Pancakeflipper · 21/07/2012 23:24

Baggier at the front and usually have Bob the Builder grinning at the front.

WorraLiberty · 21/07/2012 23:24

It sounds as though you and the other parents need to donate some boys pants if you're that worried...but why don't you send him with spares?

Now he's going to get used to wearing knickers and before you know it, he'll be dressing like Lily Savage before his morning milk and snack.

A very sad state of affairs indeed.

AgentZigzag · 21/07/2012 23:29

From Next rainy? Shock

Have you managed to find closure on the trauma?

Sad
luisgarcia · 21/07/2012 23:29

Learn something new every day. Did not guess I'd learn this today, but thank you!

mummakaz · 21/07/2012 23:31

My dd once come home in pants, didn't bother me in the slightest. I would take a little rucksack and leave spares in there if it bother you :)

AgentZigzag · 21/07/2012 23:34

You need to start a thread about lads wearing tights when its cold in the winter luis, an eye opener to be sure Shock

luisgarcia · 21/07/2012 23:36

My boy wore tights today. They had a picture of a lion on them. It was sunny. Have at me

PenisVanLesbian · 21/07/2012 23:37

All my boys have worn tights, is that strange in the UK ?
