living on a residential street. always someone to upset the applecart. loud people across the road and 2 doors down playing loud ibiza stlye gansta rap stuff with obscene lyrics for all to hear. dont want my child hearing this, and it offends me too.have had to come into house with child and close all doors and windows. all the street and am I the only one it bothers? why the need to blast this stuff out for all? it isnt glastonbury, its a street. and no one can complain can they? env heath are closed over weekends, the police cant and wont do anything, and the perps obv dont give a rip about disturbing the peace, theyre not going to listen to anyone are they? and theyll just do it worse, more, and louder if they know theres been a complaint, and as always they get away with it. such is the justice system. its been happening since about 3pm. and if it carries on past 11 which is SUPPOSED to be the curfew whats done about it? shouldnt there be a law on noise levels? fair enough its summer and people want to have bbqs etc but why put music on so loud then they have to shout to make themselves heard? and its only July.and my childs autistic which doesnt help as theyre getting really agitated by this. got doors and windows shut but its still permeating thru. why doesnt it seem to bother anyone else? anyone else have neighbours from hell and what can we do?

Oh that must be horrible for you.

The police ought to do something. I don't know how you'd go about trying to make them though.

In our area, the noise officers from Enviro are on duty Fri, Sat and Sun night. Are you sure yours only do weekdays?

wolvesdidit · 21/07/2012 21:11

Ring the police and mention that your child has autism. Don't know if they'll do anything but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. It's true that as soon as the sun peeps out in Britain one of your neighbours will feel the need to share window shaking gangsta rap with you. God knows why...

The only thing I can suggest is getting massive speakers and blasting out Cliff Richard or Dolly Parton songs right back at them Smile

Seriously though, I really feel for you - it is annoying as hell. I used to live next door to a family with a teenage girl and every sunny day she went out in the garden and listened to the same Counting Crows track back to back over and over and over again argggggghhhhhhh!

KittyFane1 · 21/07/2012 22:14

Ahhh, first sunny day for months here and everyone is BBQing here.
No problem with that but I don't want to listen to their crappy taste in music FULL BLAST.

Thanx for replies. child had to sleep with me in front bedroom last night as noise did go on after 11 altho to be fair they turned it down a BIT. jalopy, ive got a meeting at local council offices next week, will ask if there are noise officers in borough. thanx again. weve had to move a number of times cosv stuff like this and docs, social services etc dont ever listen. no one in authority seems to have a disabled child. wish i could win lottery (only way im ever gonna be able to buy a house, im on benefits cos Im a full time carer for my child)and move to a remote cottage in Devon or something!!!understand in built up areas there will be noise, but theres noise and there's NOISE. thought i was being pedantic but at least i know Im not the only one it bothers. without trying to be a killjoy but some people just dont respect peoples peace.
