Just doing my bookkeeping. One firm have had 2 invoices and paid them on time. Now I am going though the books I have just noticed the amount paid into my account is approx £30 short on each 2 invoices. Each invoice approx £1200. Lost the contract as the woman in accounts and I did not get on too well (put my hands up to the fact I could have handled things better).

Is this 2 genuine mishaps or are they pulling a fast one-they are supposed to be a reputable business but I am a bit perplexed on this one.

Wow turbo I think you would be better working on that chip onyour shoulder instead of canvassing opinions in here!

Steady on guys, no need to give the OP so much grief. No wonder they're getting defensive. And as for suggesting someone leaves because they are not doing something in a way you deem correct, well words just fail me.

If you haven't got something constructive to say how about not saying anything at all.

How can you say anything constructive other than to suggest she does her book-keeping better? How on earth can any of us know why her ex client under-paid her?
