To hate being woken up unnecessarily

H is sleeping upstairs
DS and I in spare bed together
Why, when he sees us sleeping does he feel the need to wake us up?
Oh, it's 8.30.
Yes, and it's the first morning forever that I haven't had to get up. We have nowhere to be, and nothing to do. Now leave us alone

Oh, I'm also poorly, chest infection

I hope you told him what you thought of him!

That's rubbish. If it was 11am and you were well I'd be on his side, but not 8.30 when you are sick. YANBU.

scummymummy · 21/07/2012 08:49

Who woke you up? Your son or your husband?

Interviewdilemma · 21/07/2012 08:50

Husband woke us both up

Sounds like he can't wait to do some solo childcare whilst you go back to bed.

Bastard.

PurplePidjin · 21/07/2012 08:54

"Excellent, dh, here you go" "Tea and toast for the invalid would be fantastic, thanks" and go back to bed.

ErikNorseman · 21/07/2012 08:58

Why??? What a dick. My husband would be wearing his knackers as earrings if he did that to me.

GhostShip · 21/07/2012 08:59

I feel your pain.

My DP woke me up yesterday by tickling my nose with his arm hair. Confused

Interviewdilemma · 21/07/2012 09:02

He has taken DS, but I'm properly awake now

I would never purposely wake anyone up
I think it's really selfish

No-one likes being woken unnecessarily

Love from the whole of Mumsnet x

I think you should all leave the bastards. ESP arm hair man.

I was woken at 6am the other week when some tit had parked outside our house - this isn't the problem - but he'd parked right opposite our neighbours car thus leaving the bus no room to get by. Cue people from the bus trying my door first asking me to move 'my' car. They were very apologetic when they saw an apparently very pregnant woman arrive at her front door with screaming babe in arms (woken by dog barking thanks to knock on door) who confirmed that the car was not in fact her fucking car.

I'm not ashamed to say that as i didn't see the perp that morning and had to go out, I left a note.

maristella · 21/07/2012 10:15

YANBU tell him he is a prick from me!

Why would anyone deliberately wake someone up when there is no need for them to be awake????

I hate this because I find it very difficult to get back to sleep Angry

Can I add my neighbours and their yappy fucking mutt to the list of noisy-when-it-is-too-early wankers?

RaisinDEtre · 21/07/2012 10:58

Is he a dick in other areas of your relationship too ?

Does he do his fair share of chores, shopping, cooking, cleaning etc ?

Interviewdilemma · 21/07/2012 11:51

Well we are actually separating, I guess this is typical

YANBU
A week after my baby was born I was upstairs having a precious afternoon snooze. My DH came in 'to see if I was asleep yet' and woke me up.

RaisinDEtre · 21/07/2012 12:11

Well the sooner the separation happens the better, ID

What a git, you'll be well rid innit

SamuelWestsMistress · 21/07/2012 12:11

Mine insists in guzzling pints of diluting juice before bed. Then he gets up about 2am and pisses for ages and comes back to bed. He then complains of being tired all the time and not sleeping.

GhostShip · 21/07/2012 12:56

In all fairness the waking-up-by-rubbing-his-arm-hair-on-my-nose incident is a one off. However he does like waking me up, usually with little kisses and cuddles. I can't be mad at him that way. Blush
