My "DH" just left the house, only to be confronted by one of the neighbours on our driveway. She was hissing and spitting at him and stood her ground.

He could have walked past and ignored, or he could have chased her off, but no, he stood there wimpering like a baby, until I went out and shooed her away.

Two of the other neighbours were stood there laughing too.

I should point out now, that "DH" means Darling Hound... a 25 kilo lump of a staffie, and the neighbour is a fluffy black and white cat! Grin

I used to try to send rottie Fred out to scare the local cats off the lawn but he got all confused and they ignored them. Then I rescued four ex-battery hens and worried about them being attacked by the local cats who all think my back garden is their litter tray. One cat tried it.....and I have not seen a cat since. Ginger ninjas my hens!

My dog used to bully the neighbour's cat. Until she had kittens. She went batshit crazy at the poor dog who never quite recovered and had a healthy fear respect for cats ever after.

Is this a genuine AIBU?

My tiny cat bullies my dog. Every time he walks past her she tries to take a chunk out of his leg. She also steals his bed and he just stands there whimpering until I rescue it for him. If he plays with a squeaky toy she meows down his ear very loudly until he stops.

Why are there so many surreptitious threads trying to paint cuddle images of bull terriers on here recently?

squeakytoy · 20/07/2012 21:01

nothing surreptitious about it at all... he is 10 years old and anyone who knows him, knows what an utter soft lump he is and always has been..

the mutt

We keep the dogs' food in a tupperware box, in a basket, on top of the microwave - well out of their reach. I once found ddog1 looking in absolute horror at the cat, who was ankle deep in the dog food, eating his way round his feet. The cat also nicked a whole bonio right out from under the dog's nose!
