To think that IKEA should deliver?

Everyone else delivers. You can order practically anything online. So why does IKEA make us trudge out to one of their inconveniently located stores, wander the warehouse then try and fit oversized flatpacks in our city car? Does this company not realise it's 2012.

Our family use Ikea for interventions and difficult conversations.

Ingenious really Wink

I think for flat pack it's very good quality. If you consider what you pay for flat pack elsewhere it's head and shoulders above anywhere else. Price wise and from a design/ ease of build perspective

yes delighted with delivery and picking of our wardrobes. definitely worth it.

Dawndonnaagain · 05/12/2013 15:01

Had kitchen cupboards delivered (two hours from nearest ikea Sad)
was worth it.

ZOMBIE THREAD

ZOMBIE THREAD

Which seems to have been bumped to advertise. Hmm

Freddiefrog · 05/12/2013 15:04

Does no one else drive there, within 10 minutes have a stand up row over flower pots/tea towels/whatever random item we don't need anyway with their DH, storm out and come home empty handed?

Or is that just me and DH? Blush

We don't even get as far as the meatballs

Freddiefrog · 05/12/2013 15:05

Oh, sorry, didn't realize it was a zombie thread Blush

also next day delivery bit of a pain. you can't pick a day yo suit you next week

deepfriedsage · 05/12/2013 15:19

They deliver next day and assemble a week later, box city.

No interventions or rows in Ikea in this family, people may have gotten ratty if shortcuts and the cafe were not taken advantage of.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 05/12/2013 18:41

Spare a thought for me then. My nearest IKEA is a five hour drive away!!
