To be avoiding handing in notice at dds nursery?

Dd2 is 2.5, and goes to the nursery where she went from 6 months and dd1 went for 18 months too. It is a lovely nursery - chaotic, but in a really friendly way.

It is just getting too hard for us to get her there - it is 2 miles away and neither of us drive, plus school is a mile away from it (kind of a triangle with our house) - I have to spend an hour doing the school run. Two hours in total each day.

We moved a year ago and have been managing with help from the inlaws, but it really needs to change.

So, we found a nice nursery near to the house and on the way to school, and have reserved a place for September. Dd only goes to nursery term time, so she is finishing this week.

How do I tell them she isn't coming back? Sob!

You know you have to. You could be blocking a place someone desperately needs.

Do you not have a notice period at the current nursery?

You need to let them know ASAP

I cried when I handed in our notice for DD's first nursery after we moved, was in denial for ages.

As it turned out her new nursery was waaaaaay better! Grin
