My ex sent me a letter demanding conatct after nearly 12 years of him disspearing into thin air never having paid any maintenance.

I then replyed swiftly i might ad getting my self legal help at much cost worrying my child now 6 weeks later i have heard frigg all

My legal man did give them a call a few weeks back asking what the hold up is i was told their would be a responce by end of this week well its sunday now and unless he is responding by milkman

How long is one supposed to wait for a responce pesonally i would like to draw a line under this a move on he however seems intent on dragging this out

I don't have experience but it must be very unsettliing for you. If iit were me in your position, I would be sending my own solicitors letter stating that for the good of your child, you want a response within one week or he will have to see youin court.

BUt then I am rathr full on about things like this.

I agree with pp. Also he demands don't count for squat. The childrens needs and opinions (since they are over 12) will be what the court listen to.
Give them a week for a response.
