Just shite.
Almost as bad as adults referring to school nights or so many sleeps. (in fact the latter shit for anyone over the age of 1)

OP posts:
MardyBra · 15/07/2012 10:27

Never heard of either of them.

What sort of circles are you mixing in OP?

Sparklingbrook · 15/07/2012 10:27

I have only heard them as I have a 13 year old DS.

Proudnscary · 15/07/2012 10:30

Boo you

mistressploppy · 15/07/2012 10:32

Is 'holibags' ok?

ScrambledSmegs · 15/07/2012 10:33

Isn't 'yay me' meant to be sarcastic?

It was in Buffy. Showing my age there...

Bluestocking · 15/07/2012 10:33

How could "holibags" possibly be any better than "holibobs"?

klaritaf · 15/07/2012 10:34

mm...laughing cow cheese...num num

AmandaLF · 15/07/2012 10:35

'yummers'

ThePan · 15/07/2012 10:38

LST - sleeps til hoibobs. IN context of OP...fucking hilarious!

Iamsparklyknickers · 15/07/2012 10:39

Shouldn't it be 'nom nom'?

ThePan · 15/07/2012 10:41

I also, on getting a 'result' or good news I do that annoying wide stirring motion with both hands, whilst singing "Go Pan, go Pan!" Not a good look on a 'mature' man. But, bovvered?Grin

MorrisZapp · 15/07/2012 10:42

Holibags is Scottish I think?

The how many sleeps thing is new to me, we never said that as kids. Or schoolnight, come to think of it.

LST · 15/07/2012 21:25

It's almost 5 sleeps now peeps Grin

ThePan · 15/07/2012 21:31

that is soooo random.

mistressploppy · 15/07/2012 21:36

Ohhh, I am Scottish, Morris, that'll be it!

CaliforniaLeaving · 15/07/2012 23:03

Shouldn't it be 'nom nom'?
No thats chewing with your mouth open, use your manners Wink

Creamtea1 · 15/07/2012 23:48

I absolutely hate 'sleeps until' and as for 'holibobs'...
Nothing wrong with the OP, as someone said already its just chat and not RL, the op isn't being miserable just saying what a lot of people think. Infact I would like to also add 'amazeballs' arrrrgh I hate it!!

Creamtea1 · 15/07/2012 23:49

Peeps is shit too

NotVictoriaBeckham · 15/07/2012 23:54

Totally agree and I also hate when people say 'Whoop whoop'. Imagine if someone said 'Whoop whoop, go me!' The horror.

Creamtea1 · 15/07/2012 23:57

Totes agree notVB! Wink
High five you!

ExitPursuedByABear · 15/07/2012 23:58

And what exactly is wrong with "so many sleeps". I am very old, and was saying that when I was small.

As for "my bad" - what does that actually mean? Someone from MNHQ typed that in a reply to someone last week, and I had to read it several times to make sure that I wasn't going mad. I was going to post about it but decided that would prove I was an out of touch old fart.

Kayano · 16/07/2012 00:00

I also say

Word.
True story.
Cool story bro.
Innit.

Creamtea1 · 16/07/2012 00:08

Just actually seen a classic on FB '10 more sleeps baby!!!!'
I think the addition of baby really makes it

Himalaya · 16/07/2012 00:20

I'm with you Anna.

"Yay me" is particularly cringeworthy as it remind me the annoying one from The Suite Life of Zak and Cody.

ThePan · 16/07/2012 13:58

Himalaya - they are ALL annoying, but I think you mean London.
