Flip! Just googled it! Sounds very dangerous.

Took it for 2 months, DP begged me to come off it as I had horrendous mood swings. Would swing between violently angry and sobbing my heart out. Loved dianette but the doctor won't prescribe it to me.

why not Cora?

I got my prescription from my obs after I had my DS and he recoiled in horror at the thought of giving me dianette, it was Yasmin or nothing. I have since spoken to my GP and she said there would be no problem putting me back on Dianette as long as I signed off saying I understood the risks associated with it. Apparently there were links to suicides with Dianette, it put me right off. I haven't gone back on any OCP yet.

Yasmin is the only pill I ever got on with. I actually lost weight (the others had all caused me to bloat), had bigger boobs and nice skin. I can't remember reading about any extra side effects though...

I love Yasmin. Three years in and it's the only pill that didn't give me site boobs and mood swings. Tried about five different types before my dr gave up and gave me this!

Bluebirdpies · 14/07/2012 22:33

Sore boobs, not site boobs. No idea what they are!

Good to hear nobody has had a DVT on it then!

I was taken off Dianette because it could cause me problems with my heart apparently although it gave me beautiful skin and no problems... I was prescribed Yasmin which gave me heart palpitations and left me with shitty skin. All depends on the person taking it I suppose!

I love being on Yasmin. Much reduced PMT, better skin, lighter periods. All drugs have side effects, but in this case they all seem positive ones to me Grin

I have suspected endometriosis so was recommended to tricycle the pill.

I was originally put on Microgynon but suffered badly with horrific migraines, mood swings and loss of sex drive. I switched to Yasmin and have no problems. My periods are so much better that I have actually been able to be discharged from gynae for now. To put it into context when pregnant my midwife told me to go in when contractions felt worse than period pains. I only went to hospital at 9 1/2 cms as I bled heavily, to me it was just like my period pain.

Yasmin has honestly given me my life back, I felt like I was just existing before as my periods made me so ill for 3 out every 5 weeks.
