When dd was born we were boght a bed linen set of bumper, sheet, coverlet and fleece.blanket. as she was in a moses basket we had her in a grow bag from when she outgrew her swaddle.

When she was moved into her big cot it was on the high setting and so we just kept putting her in her hrowbag and that was that.

Today I have dropped her cot down to the bottom level and took out all the bedlinen gift to dress it.

Im not particularlu keen on the set in as much as it doesnt match her room but not picky enough to NOT use it for that reason. I thought it would be nice to dress the cot, dd have a few nights sleep in there and ill send a picture of dd in it to relative so she can see it beng enjoyed.

However, though the picture on the front shows bumper and coverlet on the cot, the coverlet has a label on saying not to be used before baby reaches one and the bumper says not to be used after the age of one ?!?!?

So, in essense, the box is showing something the product inside cant deliver. grrr.

Well, it is annoying but it's not false advertising because they are recommendations. There are no laws against using quilts and bumpers and many people do (misguided imo) - it's up to you if you follow the guidelines.

I use the coverlet for ds to play on while I do jobs upstairs.

Not false advertising as they are telling you the guidelines on using them. Most babies are in a cot at 12 months still, so they are still usable!

I never used a bumper. I had horrible thoughts of ds getting stuck underneath and then getting in a tangle :(
