Just caught the back end of Million Pound drop where the question was What determines the gender? The Egg or The Sperm.

The couple in question honestly didn't know the answer and I have just asked a friend and she didn't know either.

I seriously thought it was common knowledge Confused

I remember one of my pregnancy books said that male and female sperms swim at different speeds and die off at different rates. Therefore having sex at different points in the cycle would result in a greater chance of a girl or boy. That male sperm are faster than female sperm so do the deed earlier in the cycle for a female and on the day or just after ovulation for a male Baby. When I tracked my dates, it seemed true for us but I don't believe it is scientific.

Male and female sperm- not sperms.

It's the sperm that decides the sex but as for gender, well who knows.

That's why I asked upthread what it was that Davina actually asked.
