Whatever they or anyone else thinks of Nick Clegg, spitting on him is no way to get their point across. It's a disgusting act and they deserved to be arrested. Hopefully they are charged and given a hefty fine, and maybe community service.

Spitting is classed as assault and you will and should be charged with such if you are caught/proven to have done. It's disgusting, and we teach our children the same. It can carry disease, as far as passing HIV. And some people see fit to condone that behaviour???

Really? That's what reminds politicians who they answer to? Not elections every five years? Or a free press? Or freedom of speech? Or constituency clinics? Is democracy so weak that politicians need to be covered in foodstuffs to keep the in their place? I will defend everyone's right to their opinions and their right to express it. But assault no way.
