to mix different pasta shapes?

I like to mix different pasta shapes, bitesize shapes in wholegrain, tricolore, durum. I like the different coloures and textures and the dc don't mind wholegrain in a mix like that.
my sister thinks I'm bu.
the only kind of pasta she will have is durum spaghetti. I think she ibu.

cooking times don't vary too greatly, so that is not an issue.

Nearly everything I buy is "eight to ten minutes" but the odd bag is "ten to twelve" so I put that in first, wait two minutes, put the rest in, wait eight minutes, get interrupted by a child, overcook pasta, swear, eat it anyway.
