Background:
CD's primary school send letter around saying they have 2 tickets for Olympic Football on X date that will be auctioned to raise funds for the school. Bids in by xxx
DS1 decides he wants them but after I checked the date online, we realised they were for Women's Football and, rightly or wrongly, he changed his mind.
The winning bidder obviously didnt check and having paid for the tickets is now complaining VERY LOUDLY, that the school should have made it clear it was a women's, not men's, match.
Personally, I think it would have been helpful of the school to say (assuming they had checked of course) but isn't common sense to check yourself beforehand?
