Tesco online delivery and customer service is poor

Placed an order for online delivery 4 days ago for it to arrive yesterday. Waited for the designated time expecting my lovely groceries. Did not arrive. Called customer services, rebooked order for this morning. Still nothing. Called customer services after designated time of delivery arrival, they cannot deliver till tomorrow. Lovely guy at other end tried to call the store for delivery today anytime (means I have to stay at home all day) or for tomorrow, means I have to go to shopping for food today for this evening. They have me by the balls (if I had any). AIBU to be upset about this?

Melodyangel i'm doing the waitrose offer, have had 1 delivery so far, brill.

Polite and friendly, free teatowel and Hessian bag, and free delivery.

However I'll probably go back to Sainsbury's after the offer as they do all the things I like, makes a big difference for vegetarians.

Tesco are rubbish, always loads of substitutions.

as a female with a truck licence ive done a stint with these companies and>>>I would, if ordering temp. controlled food have , on delivery, a temp. prob! and use it ,! trust me on that one , if your delevery is late/last on a hot day , and driver has had shedloads of deliveries prior to yours , AND THIS IS THE REALLY IMPORTANT BIT SO LISTEN UP! driver may be agency / not give a fuck/not have a food hygiene (basic)certificate/ orders may be all over truck leading to driver having to sort it out with DOOR OPEN/food defrosts /moves out of safe temp.region, /maybe refreezes, cools down ,looks ok when you sign for it>>> trust me , it"s the "fag end" off driving jobs, hated by all who do it , training ?>pleeeeese, don"t make me laff ! it would be funny but.... next time you phone an order in ask them"do your drivers/delivery people have a basic food hygiene cert. that is current? you need one to work legit washing dishes in a cafe kitchen ...makes you think ..no?(soz re crap spelling)

I've never had a problem with them, once they were late but called my mobile beforehand. A few years back, when we he loads of snow at Christmas, they were the only people who bothered to deliver to us.

I'd have said give me a new 2 hour time slot or cancel my order.

Yanbu for being pissed off, it's irritating when deliveries go wrong. Call and Email how pissed off you are.

They delivered yesterday, they did not have a 'suitable replacement' for bread! I mean bread!!! a whole store and no bread?

i used them a few times years ago. they didn't arrive when they said. the delivery man complained about how far he had to bring stuff. they sent dented cans and bruised fruit.
i sacked them.
