To stop reading blogs where the writer can't spell

I've just ditched one from my daily list after reading 'weather' instead of 'whether' and 'brake the bank' - it irritates me so much that it puts me completely off the content. The writer is a journalist as well!

This is coupled with the incessant use of fashion speak, today's offering suggests pairing your summer skirt with 'a bare tanned leg' - what just the one? Drives me mad!

I have been known to give up reading threads, blogs, school letters etc for the same reason.

NotGeoffVader · 29/06/2012 09:55

I do it all the time. I have also hidden people on fb who insist on 'friending' me (even though I have removed them) although I only know them in passing.

Someone on my FB had 'one of thoughs days' yesterday .

I know it's unkind but it really winds me up.

Most blogging is essentially vanity publishing. YANBU.

Passmethecrisps · 29/06/2012 10:15

YANBU. I hate this. If you are putting yourself out there for the world to read you need to be able to write. If you don't take the time to proof read then I won't take the time to read at all. Harrumph.

The school newsletter comment makes me squirm. I teach and one of my additional roles is monitoring reports of other. 90 odd % are great but some are really poor. I hate the thought of parents reading thinking "well, you're a moron so what would you know about anything?"

P.S. I am on my iPhone so reserve the right to blame autocorrect for any typos
