I accidentally put a cheese slice and a chocolate button in my mouth TOGETHER.

And it tasted brilliant.

That's just wrong, isn't it?

oopslateagain you're the only person ever who I've found to like jam and cheese sandwiches! Normally people look at me like I'm nuts...

LeB0F · 25/06/2012 21:36

I've had them for years. But I am an odd un.

WhatWouldMargoDo · 25/06/2012 21:40

I like jam and cheese sarnies and so does dd :)

My nanan always used to put a layer of cheese in her apple pies.

But apart from that yous are all DIRRRRTY!

MyDogShitsMoney · 25/06/2012 21:46

Cheese and jam butties are the best thing ever, fact.

My Lancashire Nanna always melts a slice of cheese onto a hot cross bun/toasted tea cake. I had no idea it was odd til I served it to XH. He was NOT amused.

peanut butter and bacon sandwiches. THE BEST THINGS EVER :o. They are also truly to die for with chocolate chips in. Seriously, try it, to die for :o

megandraper · 26/06/2012 15:31

Lots of strange people about then. Though Wensleydale and Xmas cake is just normal, I think (though DH is repulsed at the thought - but then he doesn't like them separately, either).

I like the idea of Philly & bacon sandwiches too. And ice-cream and peanuts.

Just remembered another taste sensation that I love (though this one isn't weird) - got to be eaten outdoors (ideally sitting/lying in a meadow) on a warm, sunny day - full-fat Coke (warm and a bit flat) with a Dairy Milk bar and an orange.

raw brussels sprouts dipped in mayonnaise

OlaRapaceFru · 26/06/2012 18:16

OK, roseum. I haven't been repulsed by many of these ... but ... sprouts and mayonnaise? Shock

I think you win the prize

Pixieonthemoor · 26/06/2012 18:23

I see your frankly disturbing combos and raise you:
Brie with cranberry jelly
Any kind of sandwich with crisps added in
Start cereal dipped in mayo
Sausages with marmalade

And, clearly, food of the gods, Devils on Horseback (prunes wrapped in bacon). They make me go weak at the knees!!

roseum · 26/06/2012 18:31

The things is, OlaRapaceFru, that I loathe cooked brussels sprouts, but they taste very different raw - and are lovely and crunchy - you cut them into quarters and dip them in the mayonnaise.... I'm sensing I may be alone on this one!
Also good is crunchy peanut butter on an apple (think someone already mentioned that combo). Dark chocolate with apple is also really good. And Lindt have just started making a dark chocolate with sea salt in, which is yum.

OlaRapaceFru · 26/06/2012 19:36

I used to be a cooked sprouts hater, too roseum, but I've grown to like them over the years as DP loves them (and I'm cooking them to my taste, ie not boiled to a disgusting mush).

Actually, I'm more than happy to slice sprouts thinly and stir-fry them with some other veg. It's just that I'm ... not quite sure whether I could eat them raw with mayonnaise.

And it's not that I dislike raw veg - I love a lot of raw veg. And I adore Hellmans - job done? Grin

Helenagrace · 26/06/2012 19:44

Banana and mandarin oranges on pizza anyone?

The pizza shop down the road from my university used to have them as extra toppings. I tried them after a session in the union bar library and have never looked back. DH thinks I am insane.

roseum · 26/06/2012 21:02

job done :) (and I might have to try stir-frying them)

NewMummy48 · 26/06/2012 21:16

YANBU, I eat a few quavers and a chunk of chocolate together- Tastes delicious.

MuddlingMackem · 26/06/2012 21:25

rhondajean

And I have choc chip cheese in the fridge

rhondajean · 26/06/2012 21:30

I got it at the ideal home show in Glasgow.

It's from snowdonia cheeses though, I think they have a website.

We finished it last night, can highly recommend.

OddBoots · 26/06/2012 21:35

I have accidentally put a slice of cheese down on some ground coffee and a little sprinkle stuck, it tasted wonderful!

MuddlingMackem · 27/06/2012 13:54

Thanks rhondajean, will let him know, he's very into his cheeses. :)
