Ooh get some of those giant olives that are stuffed with feta cheese. Yum!

trixie123 · 21/06/2012 19:50

do you mean those little slightly hot peppers with feta in them? Can i come? I'll bring a picnic blanket and some really cold, dry white wine Smile

PavlovtheCat · 21/06/2012 19:52

*trixie yes those are the ones, but these ones have goats cheese in them...

squeaky i know I don't have to, but, I have! (well, in theory, as I have not 'checked out' yet)

PavlovtheCat · 21/06/2012 19:56

I guess, really, i should get white wine, but sainsbury's house pinot noir is surprisingly drinkable at £4.49 a bottle so i can get two

Hell yes! Get some pate and wine in while you're at it. Yum!

PavlovtheCat · 21/06/2012 19:59

I don;t actually like pate. But, DH does, so I might be nice and get him some. But, that will add to the cost. So, maybe I wont Grin

Erm, OK MrsTerry, if you say so Grin

Get whatever wine you fancy, bugger the "rules".

ok. Ordered:

a jar of hot mini stuffed peppers with goats cheese
1 tub of garlic stuffed olives
1 jar of chargrilled artichokes (i put some olives back, thanks suzi!)
1 pot of St Agur creamy (my Current Favourite)
1 chunk of cornish brie (for DH)
1 chunk of port salut
1 large trifle

Plus my normal shop.

I then used a voucher code for £15 off Grin woohoo! I did not even know I would get that much off (had £12 off code from MN, but found another one online) and, lo that is what I spent, approx, on Food To Make Me Feel Good - bonus!

so, now it is too late for it to be unreasonable, as it is Done.

zuki not always my idea of treat food, but as I did the shopping list, i realised, that is exactly what I want, and need to lift my spirits. i really don't fancy any chocolate, or cake, or sweet stuff. I am not entirely sure I fancy the wine but bought it in case i change my mind but definitely wanting savoury 'carpet picnic' food (love that expression, don't care whose it belongs to, I have now stolen it)

I am currently on my sofa surrounded by pâté, oatcakes, sunblushed tomatoes, olives, peppers and wine, dh is away and I am felling rather sorry for myself so actually made an emergency dash out for these Blush

londone17 · 21/06/2012 21:20

Yanbu, there are much worse ways to spend money than on good food. Hope you really enjoy!

PavlovtheCat · 21/06/2012 21:23

missmalteser good call! enjoy.

CMOTDibbler · 21/06/2012 21:25

My dinner consisted of a bowl of chocolate blancmange to make me feel better, so YANBU. But I fancy olives now

PavlovtheCat · 21/06/2012 21:25

ooooh i haven't had that for years!

OP posts:
PavlovtheCat · 21/06/2012 21:27

i have not had dinner. well i nicked a few home made chips from the children's plates and ate a couple of grapes. Oh and earlier I had two chocolate chip cookies.

I am not hungry really. But, if I had the things I ordered right now, I could become hungry Grin

Yum, definitely NU.

I spent similar in Morrisons this morning on stuff to get me through today at work:

Chicken and mushroom pate
Cheese oatcakes
Fresh melon chunks
Cashew nuts
Bourbon biscuits

And a new mug for my tea that says 'when in doubt, make tea' on it.

londone17 · 21/06/2012 21:58

Yes, thought so. Eating anything is better than nothing, a little bit of what you fancy does you good! Good luck with the tests. Could you tempt yourself with anything?
