To not like my husband groping me in front of son.

My husband is a randy bugger, & he can't resist either grabbing my chest or bottom or rubbing up behind me...it's irritating at the best of times but I think it's inappropriate in front of our 28 month old son.

I've discovered recently that I'm the biggest prude in the entire world (also 6 months pg do libido is non-existent) but AIBU in asking him not to do it in front of our son, or is it not really on?

YANBU in asking him to desist a) in front of your son or b) entirely.

BlackOutTheSun · 21/06/2012 12:16

Why would you be U to ask/tell him?

Who said you were a prude? Not wanting to be grabbed doesn't make you a prude

confusedgypsychick · 21/06/2012 12:18

Do we have the same husband? Hmm

Cockwomble · 21/06/2012 12:18

What's 28 months in real measures? I thought according to MN having full sex with all kids in the bed was fine?

MrsHelsBels74 · 21/06/2012 12:18

I am a prude though, I don't like being naked in front of anyone, including my husband or son, don't like my son coming into the bathroom with me etc.

And 28 months is 2 years & 4 months. There is no way I could have sex with the baby in the bed, or even in the same room.

Me neither if I had kids.

If you are uncomfortable, tell him to cease and desist. This is NOT unreasonable of you in any way.

ohchristFENTON · 21/06/2012 12:24

Then I am a prude too, you are in good company Wink

TELL HIM to get his paws off you at least until you are alone, smooching up for a cuddle is one thing - grabbing arse and boobs is another, and if he knows you don't like it, it's pretty revolting behaviour.

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 21/06/2012 12:26

If you dont like him groping and pawing you then he shouldnt do it, regardless of whether you DS is about or not.

My DH loves nothing better than manhandling my boobs and bum, sometimes I dont mind and sometimes I do!!

ripsishere · 21/06/2012 12:27

My DH would find himself with a very bruised groin if he did that to me.
Fine if you like bit, but I loathe it.

MissFaversam · 21/06/2012 13:05

OH yuck OP. I'd never want bloody sex with him again, what a turn off.

idococktailshedoesbeer · 21/06/2012 13:10

I told my OH off for groping my chest too much for my liking. He got very offended as he insisted it was caressing. Hmm

MissFaversam · 21/06/2012 13:37

Its not about being a prude its about not being treated like a piece of meat really. There's a time and a place for this and then only if the other person shows signals/voices it's acceptable.

corlan · 21/06/2012 14:09

YANBU and you are not a prude.

I would be worried that your son will eventually learn not to respect women's bodies from his father - especially if you are saying 'no' and your husband continues to grab.

JohFlow · 21/06/2012 14:25

Your body - your rules. It's not being a prude to explain 'I'm glad you find me sexy, but I'm feeling.....I would much prefer (a cuddle/an hours break/a helping hand with...) than that'.

I think some men (not all) see sex as a 'fix all'. Where women are more geared to heading that way when other intimacies are sound.

It also think that you may have been through some changes over the last year and that sometimes changes the landscape between partners.

I can entirely understand why you feel that you need to tackle things that make you feel uncomfortable. I think you can be as direct back as he is being with you.

good luck x

madmomma · 21/06/2012 19:29

YANBU regarding your son, but I should imagine your husband might be a bit put-out if he can't have the odd feel when it's just the two of you.
