I am not being unreasonable to be totally fucked off that my DH arrived home just as I got the dcs to bed and then race the the TV to watch sport and wait.... have the audacity to ask me to go get him beers.

Just whinging here as it makes it better somehow.

You have my sympathy op. My dh has a football season ticket and is out of house for 6 hours plus roughly once every two weeks during football season.
He even went to playoff final with his parents and ds on dd's birthday.
Completely hogs when TV football on.

So your DH arrived home from work just as you got the DC's to bed, yes? Then he sat down to watch football, having done a day's work, yes? Your DC were in bed after your day's work, you could have sat down too.

But asking you to get him a beer was taking the piss.

We're having a great time with the football, we love it in this house. I'll be reaching for the off button when Wimbleon and the Olympics start.

I can't stand football - the hype, the obsession, the sound of the chanting - the works!! My partner is completely the opposite. How do I deal with it? Balance measures - you can watch this match if you......(usually whatever I don't want to do that day lol). Then when the match is on; ipod in, book out and footrub. It's an adjustment as all my boyfriends previously havent been into football - knew the good run had to come to an end at some point!

"They think it's all over... it could be now: Woman gives partner the boot with public banner after he chooses Euro 2012 over their anniversary.

'Chris, I hope the quarter finals are worth missing our anniversary for' in bright red paint on a huge white sheet.

Is that wasn't bad enough, the woman ended the message on the A38 between Birmingham and Sutton Coldfield with: 'Don't rush back!' " www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2163113/Woman-dumps-partner-Chris-public-banner-chooses-Euro-2012-anniversary.html
