Poor little chap slipped off side of the dining chair, put his arm out and broke it!!
his dad arrived in time to go with him in ambulance.
I'm in floods of tears. I feel terrible, I was right next to him. He's only 2 and a half and he was in so much pain.
Someone tell me you wouldn't think I was the world's worst childminder, 'cos that's what I'm thinking.

Don't feel bad about it, these things happen.

DS has broken his arm twice as a result of very simple falls. One of those was at school and I certainly didn't blame them or feel any different towards their level of care, just as this childs parents won't blame you or think any less of you.

PiL's NDNs were taking care of their DGCs while their DD and her DH had a weekend away. One of the DGCs had a broken arm before the parents even got to the airport Shock.

The DGM was beside herself but it was an accident.

Chin up.

My dd broke (clean break right through a small bone) in her wrist at school on fri, accidents happen i dont think badly of her teachers or indeed the small boy who thought it was ok to purposefully trip dd up, it happens she was just unlucky children fall all the time and dont break anything, when they do its just plain bad luck and usually the angle of the fall...ds has reguarly fallen off the dining room chair never a bone broken..nor it seems his lesson learned x
