To expect to be able to actually EAT the fruit and veg from Aldi?

Does anyone else find the fruit and veg from Aldi is becoming increasingly poor quality? I have been a long-time shopper there but am getting more and more fed up of opening bags/plastic boxes of fruit and having to bin half of it - this week, strawberries, peaches and tomatoes have all had to thrown straight on the compost heap due to being mouldy - or make a ten mile round trip to return them (the store is closer to work than home) I know it's cheap but it should be fit for purpose.

It may be the weather the fruits being picked in that the problem especially with soft fruit.

You drop it straight into the punnet and if it's pouring with rain it's generally the outer berries that have air circulating and dry out in transit while the inside ones get humid and moldy.

inwardly shudders at memory of picking and packing jobs
