Soaps dominate the schedules all year and when there is a month of football you all moan?

poorbuthappy · 13/06/2012 08:42

Isn't everyone digital now?
Is there still analogue signal somewhere?

YABU, there's lots of other channel to watch, read a book or watch a DVD. Its not every week just a few weeks every 2 years (if you count world cup) and onbly a few hours a night.

enimmead · 13/06/2012 08:52

There is absolutely nothing on TV at the moment.

If it's not football, it's Come Dine with Me, Big Bang theory, Coast, QI, Coronation St, Some medical / hospital documentary,Grand DesignsCSI,NCIS etc

But there's always Mumsnet.:)

Complaining about a programme that disrupts soaps.
Take a step back and consider how ridiculous this is.
To complain of anyhting/ any event/ anything on this planet, interupting any 'soap' is just laughable.

accountantsrule · 13/06/2012 09:07

The fact that there is nothing else on TV is nothing to do with the football as its the same every summer. I agree re the soaps, I never watch any of them but they are on more hours a day than anything else!

Jjou · 13/06/2012 11:38

YABU, it's only on for a couple of weeks. It's rarely on terrestrial tv during the actual season, so it's no biggie surely? Corrie's much worse and is on several times a week all the damn time! Smile

Scholes34 · 13/06/2012 12:20

I used to love Coronation Street when it was on twice a week - Mondays and Wednesdays at 7.30 pm.

I love the football on the TV. We only get this every other year and is something I love watching with the family.

I find there's very little to watch on TV because it's dominated by the soaps!

Wimbledon starts in 12 days, and after that we have the Olympics.

I am not chauvanist. But I dont get model type women fronting football programmes. It does not ring true
