Notsofarking Smartphone fiddling.

Piggy backs.

And the worse evah which was new on me today:

dun

a toddler with lightup trainers kicking their own feet the whole way through to see the pwetty fleashing.

Gah.

God - I've been there. And the Odeon.

manicbmc · 10/06/2012 23:21

The Odeon makes me feel sad. Stood there looking all dilapidated. Loved going there.

The Gate is just not as good in any way.

And, while I'm reminiscing, we need a proper Wimpy. Grin

LineRunner · 10/06/2012 23:26

Sighs. Smile

RoxyRobin · 10/06/2012 23:44

Yeah. And the Tyneside just gets on my nerves.

Was there the other week with DSis. At the end we stood up and some of the contents of her handbag spilled out onto the floor. She scrabbled around picking them up while I stood back to give her room. The bloke sitting behind said an ultra-posh "Excuse me!" and I turned round to look at him, thinking he was going to hand me something she'd dropped - but no, he went on "I'm trying to see the credits, you know!" As if he couldn't stand up if he was so desperate to see who the gaffer and best boy were.

If he'd tried that at the ABC he'd have likely been told to fuck off, at best.

manicbmc · 10/06/2012 23:46

I have never been to the Tyneside. Might give it a go in the summer.

I like annoying posh people. Grin

I miss being able to smoke at the back (and I no longer smoke).

LineRunner · 10/06/2012 23:52

I saw Blade Runner at the Tyneside.

LineRunner · 10/06/2012 23:53

God, I'd forgotten all about smerking at the back.

Ashtrays in the arm rests.

manicbmc · 10/06/2012 23:53

I always tip. I shout 'always warm the pot' and 'look out for buses'.

I think those are very good tips.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 10/06/2012 23:54

You are spoiling my thread.

YANBU. The cinema is just horrific - massively over priced, either way too hot or freezing cold and the last time I was there someone three rows in front sat there on her blood iPad the whole time!! Looking for holidays on lastminute.com. The odd phone light I can just about tolerate (still highly rude imo) but there's no getting away from a huuuuge iPad screen in a dark cinema. I have never been so close to getting up and actually saying something [wimp]

cakeismysaviour · 11/06/2012 00:01

This is why cinemas sell popcorn. Its for throwing at the irritating little shits.

manicbmc · 11/06/2012 00:01

I'm not rubbing anything!

Not for the next 5 minutes anyway.

Bed time for me, work tomorrow and happy memories. Grin

iceandsliceplease · 11/06/2012 00:12

Err, Chaos, I very respectfully and supportively linked to FFS.

I am lovely and everyone else is horrid Crown

sensuallettuce · 11/06/2012 00:13

I miss when you've been snogging so hard the arm of the seat is digging in your ribs but you carry in anyway Grin

witch000 · 12/06/2012 09:56

Last film i went to see was 'Woman in Black'

I thought we were safe no one sat behind kicking the back of the chair ,no children crying/screaming etc and there was only about 12 people in the cinema which is huge.So there i was thinking all was good, and THEN there was 2 old people that must of thought they were home and commented about everything so loud it could be heard over the speakers.Offering each other tissues and sweets so loudly that We could hear them as clear as day 6 rows back. They were totally oblivious to anyone else in the room.

That's the last time I went and I'm in no hurry to go again.

anniemcphee · 12/06/2012 10:08

Last time I went to the cinema, the woman sat next to me had a tourch on so she could do her knitting! Her adult daughter was very embarrassed by it and tried telling her mum to stop it, and said sorry to everyone around.
