Nutella straight out the jar, on a spoon, is the dog's bollocks or as close as?

It's very good but impossible to eat just the right amount.

I always eat too much and end up feeling bleurgh

PowderPuffAndCurlyWhiskers · 09/06/2012 00:23

You've obviously never scooped it from the jar using a broken in half digestive as a spoon...

pjmama · 09/06/2012 00:23

I'm right there with ya on that one - YANBU

WandaDoff · 09/06/2012 00:25

My fridge must be too cold to get it, with anything but a pick ice.

Fucking delicious, if you can chisel a bit away though.

Mmmmm Nutella, I just keep it in the cupboard no need for the fridge Wanda.

MoonlightandRoses · 09/06/2012 00:31

Try scooping out with a spoon, but adding the spoonful to a slice of banana - now that really is.

TrudiRed · 09/06/2012 06:47

I can't buy it because it never makes it any further than on to a spoon and into my mouth. The kids don't get a look in! I like the banana idea though. I also like a great big spoonful on vanilla ice cream but only if I can get it off the spoon without putting it in my mouth (usually because I already have a mouthful!) LOVE IT. YADNBU. By the way I had a nutella milkshake this week - it was soooooo good!

MissTapestry · 09/06/2012 07:09

Umm, clearly YABU because Cadburys choc spread is sooo much yummier! Grin

ObviouslyOblivious · 09/06/2012 07:10

Why keep it in the fridge?

YABU. It is nasty stuff. The only acceptable spread in this house is marmite.

naturalbaby · 09/06/2012 07:16

I discovered this a few weeks ago - gave up with the toast and just ate from the spoon in a moment of desperation...now there is no point doing anything other than eating it straight off a spoon!

Badvoc · 09/06/2012 07:19

I use it as chocolate frosting on my cupcakes....yummmmmmm

I too use biscuits to scoop it out of the jar Blush

CardyMow · 09/06/2012 07:19

Asda do loads of different varieties. They do a caramel and chocolate swirl, strawberry flavour, banoffee flavour, and even WHITE chocolate flavour.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 09/06/2012 07:21

I only like it plain on a spoon. No banana, biscuit, anything. Peanut butter sounds like a goer though.....

ScarletLadyOfTheNight01 · 09/06/2012 07:23

Chocolate chip cookies as spoons beat digestives ANY DAY

naturalbaby · 09/06/2012 07:26

I did not just read the post about Asda, where we are going later....

CouthyMow · 09/06/2012 08:40

Grin. The white chocolate is a personal favourite, I've even used it to ice cakes...

CouthyMow · 09/06/2012 08:41

oops. Forgot about the chuffing namechange...

VickityBoo · 09/06/2012 08:46

Also good on a biscuit!

MoonlightandRoses · 09/06/2012 09:33

So, for using it as icing, do you melt it first? Think I may need to do some baking today!

rainydaysarebad · 09/06/2012 09:40

Have you tasted dogs bollocks? Do they taste as good as chocolate spread on a spoon? Is this why dogs are such popular pets? Have I been missing something?

RubberBandit · 09/06/2012 10:08

YANBU

Although with peanut butter and banana on hot toast is even better because the Nutella and peanut butter go all gooey and melt together . And the banana makes it healthy so you can scoff guilt free Grin

The Lidl chocolate spread (green label ande lid) is even better than Nutella, though....more chocolately :)

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 09/06/2012 14:49

I would never use it as a spread, ripsishere. DS likes it on bread. Yuck. I like it on a spoon.
