For obvious reasons. As I write this, there are two big banners with the golden arches.

Let the fire begin.

I'm middle class and I went to mcdonalds today. I had a quarterpounder and fries and strawberry milkshake. It was bloody lovely.

Anyway,

Just an advert innit.

TotemPole · 08/06/2012 19:43

I can't see it. Firefox + Ad block.

Sirzy · 08/06/2012 19:43

ahhh Totem, that explains why I have never noticed it!

doggiemumma · 08/06/2012 19:45

i didn't see the mc D adverts on here, but this thread has made me crave one

Fuck i hate food snobs

AnyoneForTennis · 08/06/2012 21:11

Op where have you gone??

chunkythighs · 08/06/2012 21:19

I get lots of ads on MN for sex toys and hard drugs- I'd be appalled if I saw an advert on this site for Micky D's. Report them Op.

(It's quite possible I'm not telling the truth)

Nancy66 · 08/06/2012 21:21

What the chuff is wrong with McDonalds?

anybody that can mash up ice cream with a creme egg is alright in my book.

DameHermione · 08/06/2012 21:22

I don't give two hoots.

I am a grown up. I am able to look at advertisements and decide whether i rush out for some chicken nuggets or a holiday or some pants to hold in my gut.

Also i'm on my fancyphone and i don't see it.

Get over it. Nobody/not very many people care.

chunkythighs · 08/06/2012 21:27

allother
In fairness, this is a site that is aimed at parents. Why do grown adults have to be shielded from the horrors of fast food?

usualsuspect · 08/06/2012 21:28

Theres been at least 2 bunfights threads on this already

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 08/06/2012 21:30

I hope it wasn't McDonald's Buns as they are full of nasty additives and crack.

I will only stand for an artisan baked wholemeal bun thrown at me.

MilkNoSugarAndAShotofWhisky · 08/06/2012 21:31

Bloody hell, this again?!

If MN were advertising crack cocaine in Mr Tumble packaging then I'd suggest possibly it isn't the best thing

But McDonald's? I really think people need to get over themselves

JumpingThroughHoops · 08/06/2012 21:31

For obvious reasons. As I write this, there are two big banners with the golden arches.

Why? are you stupid enough to fall for marketing and rush out and buy one?

Or do you realise to keep this site alive it needs income?

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 08/06/2012 21:34

Mr Tumble, brilliant idea.

Maccy Ds should sign him up.

He could make a fortune, like a pied piper for our times.

ReindeerBollocks · 08/06/2012 21:36

I wouldn't mind the McDonald's ads. I just get the house swapping stuff, which makes me envious and sad in equal measure.

Damn you rich MN'ers and your beautiful homes Grin

chunkythighs · 08/06/2012 21:37

Sigh.....craves Mr Tumble and crack cocaine......

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 08/06/2012 21:38

Would you snort coke OFF Mr Tumble? Is that the way your mind is thinking?

chunkythighs · 08/06/2012 21:41

Only if he is wearing a strap on pickle Grin

YouveCatToBeKittenMe · 08/06/2012 21:42

A strap on Pickle?

what like a large gherkin?

YouveCatToBeKittenMe · 08/06/2012 21:42

Surely that would sting...they use vinegar you know

LentillyFart · 08/06/2012 21:43

When McD's start serving up wraps of crack and bottles of home brewed 100% voddie to toddlers then I'll agree with you OP. As it stands they are purveyors of fried stuff and fizzy drinks. I believe this is still allowed under our laws?

FunnysInLaJardin · 08/06/2012 21:44

stop being so po faced. I'm sure Boden has ethically unsound practices too

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 08/06/2012 21:46

I can see the ad now, Mr Tumble parading around in the buff with coke dripping off his back wearing a massive strap on maccy d's gherkin. Singing Im Lovin' It.

Why can I see it? I don't want to.

usualsuspect · 08/06/2012 21:48

lol at strap on pickle

mrscumberbatch · 08/06/2012 21:49

I am all for McDonalds paying money to Mumsnet for an advert. It pays the bills and keeps the site running.

And I'm still not daft enough to go. Sorry McDonalds. Ad money down the pan!
