Just caught a bit of Robin Gibbs funeral and it struck me that when there is a celebrity funeral, everyone is there with their camera's and mobile phones, taking pictures of a coffin. What do people do with the photo's - show them to friends and families "ere I got a lovely picture of the hearse" - it all seems a bit disrespectful and not "done"...is it me?

So sorry to hear about some people's experiences of insensitive strangers, particularly at the funerals of children but at my Grandad's funeral my uncle took a photo of the coffin outside the church with a sign saying "jumble sale" behind it! But this is different from some of the posts on here. My grandad lived to a great age and we truly were celebrating a life, rather than mourning a death and there was a lot of laughter that day. I think my Grandad would have laughed to have seen that picture!
