I have had the most dreadful cold, sore throat, cough, sickness and ear infection. The only visible result - I haven't done the ironing. DD who is 22 months old has also just had it. Result - sleepless nights for me whilst I'll and lots of crying from DD - but not as bad as I thought it would be.

TaDa. DP is now coming down with it. Result - lots of groaning and sighing and shuffling round the house. Followed by "I'm so I'll I can't eat anything but fish finger sarnies would be nice, oh and a coffee, oh and a cold drink forum sore throat. Followed by a 2 hour snooze on the sofa.

He thinks IABU because I just chucked some strepsils and beechams pills on the sofa. Told him to take them and I've come up to bed.

He thinks I am unsympathetic (which I am).

I'm girding my loins for it being a long few days. And to make matters worse, he works from home, so I get no respite.

I plan to leave him sleeping tomorrow and for DD and I to go out for the day.

Am IBU if I don't leave food and drinks out for him and to forget to take my phone?

Any recommendations, so I'm not forced to use the rolling pin as a suppository.

I wouldn't recommend a rolling pin - far too smooth.

Get thee down the supermarket and buy a pineapple corer... Wink

Ahem. Grin

You have my sympathy, and no, YADNBU!

YANBU ...go out and have a good time. Tell him he needs the peace and quiet to recover so you will go out with DD to give him much needed rest.

YANBU. DP often has a 'no symptom' man flu, where he takes to bed for a couple of days.
Last time he did have a bit of fever and so stayed in bed for 5 days. Interestingly it happened during my mother's one week visit. He would be in bed all the time, but whenever my mum and I came back from a walk there would be remains of freshly cooked food in the kitchen. DP in bed, though, looking asleep. Then my mother left, he managed to get up to say good bye, looking very ill.

Guess who was jumping on the sofa and screaming in front of a Chelsea match two hours later? Hmm Angry

Maybe just ignore him.
