Would depend surely. Me and dh have 'housekeeping'. Its a pit of met that we use for shopping, kids shoes etc. Its not anyones.
The story could be 'dh has halved the housekeeping because I assumed it was all mine, spent it coke and champagne on a night out with another man. I think it was a good way to spend the months food money on me, he disagrees. As a result he will only leave a small amount in the account/ house etc as at least when I do it again it won't leave us and dcs starving'.
Or the story could be that ' I sepnt all day cooking and cleaning and was going to the ironing tonight after putting the kids to bed so he can relax with his slippers on. Dh felt it was unacceptable that I had not ironed during the day and so would not be available to bath him and rub his poor feet tonight. As a punishment he has halved the housekeeping he allows me to have to buy myself and dcs clothes, shoes etc.'
