Was looking at some profile photos on plenty of fish site, one was of an erect penis. Why the hell would a man tink that would impress a woman?
Not going near that site again.

My eyes!!

I'm not saying there are no weirdos on Match - just that the proportion of weirdos is lower. Either that or they are more dedicated weirdos!

sensuallettuce · 05/06/2012 17:52

Maybe more dedicated Grin.

its pretty common on certain types of dating sites, kind of like a modern day version of flashing...I think they get a bit of a sexual buzz out of the exhibitionism.
I dont mind naked pics if they are genuinely erotic but they rarely are, infact usually they couldnt have taken a less erotic picture if they'd tried.
It makes me feel a bit queasy and I always block them.

(There are woman on 'certain types of dating sites' who have profile pictures in a similar vein)

BillyBollyBandy · 05/06/2012 19:23

I met DH on Match

I thought POF was known as a knocking shop?

mercury7 · 05/06/2012 19:26

knocking shop as in online brothel?
hmm, I think 'services' are generally given freely on pof Confused

MrsHelsBels74 · 05/06/2012 19:27

Well I guess it avoids disappointment later?

Wink

sensuallettuce · 05/06/2012 19:46

To be fair - I and a few of my friends have met long term partners on POF - you don't have to partake in the whoredom there are people on there not just looking for sex Confused.

BillyBollyBandy · 05/06/2012 19:53

I meant knocking shop as in most on there are looking for a quick shag mercury, sorry!

Fair enough there are some who aren't, like sensuallettuce, but that is what it has a reputation for and so will tend to be the sort of people it attracts.

sensuallettuce · 05/06/2012 20:07

I agree billy - but there are some nice people on there too who genuinely want a relationship (with a little "fun" on the way Blush).

HmmThinkingAboutIt · 05/06/2012 20:20

Note to men who get their willy out on cam to a stranger.
Don't use your real name. Don't say who you work for.

It will come back and bite you on the bum :D
Oh how I laughed at that guy who ended up the laughing stock of an entire factory floor.

mercury7 · 05/06/2012 20:23

I agree lots of them are just begging to be publicly humiliated :o

kickingKcurlyC · 05/06/2012 20:41

Ooh I played scrabble with someone whose Facebook picture was a cock! I wonder if it was the same man.
It was a shame, because we were quite well matched scrabble-wise. But not genital-exposing-wise, obviously. So we couldn't really go anywhere, I felt.

NowThenWreck · 05/06/2012 21:04

You certainly couldn't go anywhere if he had his knob out. They wouldn't have let him in!

Sloobreeus · 05/06/2012 21:13

Ask him why he sent you a pic of some turkey gizzards. (See The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath)

HeadfirstForHalos · 06/06/2012 12:19

My friend was chatting a to a "nice" man on a dating site. After a few days he sent her a pic of his erect penis. She sent a group email of it to her friends (including me) asking for opinions. She passed on all of our opinions to him. He didn't dare contact her again Grin

mercury7 · 06/06/2012 12:37

hahahahahaha :o

kickingKcurlyC · 06/06/2012 13:41

I wasn't really looking for it to go anywhere other than playing another game of scrabble. So it wasn't too traumatic a loss thankfully. :)
