AIBU to think that it doesn't actually take much to start a thread...?

And even less to respond to one?

Especially on a wet Bank Holiday.

So anyone saying "why do you care so much?" should realise that it actually takes only a very very tiny amount of caring to start or respond to a thread, and that the person they are talking to probably doesn't care "so much" at all.

I mean, I'm starting this thread and I really don't care very much at all, but I can't be bothered to get off the sofa to find some other entertainment.

Ive possibly asked why someone cares so much (or maybe i just thought it but yes i have definitely felt that way).

But its in response to the tone of an op rather than the content. If someone posts about some mundane but mildly irritating event in a rational way - This is what happened, this is how i feel about it, what do you reckon about it all? - then there's no problem but its the silly tabloid screechiness, where its all overblown and full of hyperbole- horrified ths, disgusted that.... that is what makes me think ' but why do you care???'

The problem i think is that a tone is being set, esp on aibu, and some people maybe feel the need to ramp up the drama to justify posting in the first place. Its a shame really.
