To have been so excited?

At seeing the Air Ambulance land? I was agog with excitement and stood, slack jawed in the rain while it landed on its little bit of concrete with the big H on it.

In my defence I have spent the last 6 or so years with DS saying things like "ooh look, a tractor/ fire engine/ dustcart etc." DS is 8 now but old habits die hard.

I also accept that in all likelihood there was some poor soul hovering on the brink of life and death in the back while I smiled derangedly on which may have made me a little insensitive.

And apart from that I am 34 years old FFS. It seems clear that I really need to get out more don't I? :o

Lol yes you do need to get out more Grin

Can you imagine my excitement when an air ambulance landed in the park when I was there with my kids last year? Blush

Fortunately it wasn't a fatality or anything...just that the traffic in town was chocka block due to an event there.

The air ambulance regularly lands in the park near a museum we go to a fair bit. So it is always quite exciting to see it. The crew are sometimes on a TV programme - and they are lovely to the children, let them have a look round, chat and answer questions, etc. The crew don't deal with the casualty after it has landed as the hospital staff take over.

I get quite excited about this too!! I have seen it land in our local park many times too- I get particularly exited when it's one of our GPs who meets it.

I also need to get out more - and be more sensitive Confused.
