why are there so many programs where there are either no adults or adults that are made out to be idiots that it's easy for the kids to run rings around them?

in the good old days when I was young we had Grange Hill where the teachers were most definitely in charge and the early years of Byker Grove my eyes my eyes when Geoff kept everyone in check

my DDs talk like these shows and so do their friends and I am convinced they encourage them to disrespect adults

plus they are very annoying and repetative

bring back Why Don't You and then switch off the tv set and do something less boring instead!

We banned all those shows when dd2 was 9 and there was an amazing improvement in her attitude and behaviour towards us. It showed us how much had rubbed off on her.

I'm wondering if I'm the only one on here who has never heard of any of te programmes in the OP.

Things are improving round here TV wise. They now like Big Bang Theory and The Middle, stuff like that. Unfortunately DS1 (nearly 13) thinks Russell Howard is hilarious.

yes DD2 14 just watches Kids tv now and its really GLC and something called jessie never seen it,
they will watch spongebob 19 yr old loves it and phineas and ferb

but its Big bang theroy/glee /modern family now , I cant watch russell howard with DD2 I I love him though but i do cringe and I dont let her know its on.

Have you seen the film where they go to Japan? Unable to speak any Japanese whatsoever? It's like a 1970s British sitcom - all "Aren't foreigners weird?", and "They're too stupid to understand English, so just shout". It is one of the most offensive pieces of crap I've ever seen.

Love Spongebob and Phineas and Ferb. Don't mind iCarly and Kickin' It. Amazing World of Gumball is okay and can tolerate Regular Show. Find most of the others irritating though.

DD's only 5, so they're not too demanding for her, SJA is still a bit much for her, but in another couple of years or so it should be fine. After all, she does watch most Dr Who episodes already. :)

I have banned the Disney channel as it is ALL FUCKING REPEATS. It drives me batshit - if I see that Wizards episode on the beach where they let the fortune teller out I will put my foot through the tv!!

Good Luck Charlie does my head in. Do those parents ever look after that baby themselves, or know what their kids are doing? They are like bloody kids, themselves.

The Mum is particuarly annoying karma, especially when she bursts into song.

still haven't worked out why Teddy is making all these videos about how stupid their parents are for Charlie when she seems to be pretty much raising her anyway???

OH I have just remembered i watched american pie -the wedding the other night and charlies dad was in it wearing leather trousers with his bum cheeks hanging out

We let ours watch Good Luck Charlie, icarly and Suite life on Deck only. We also quite like the Middle and Fresh Prince.

Horrible Histories and Deadly 60 are popular too!
