To expect people to RSVP

is it me or is it really bad manners not to reply to a b'day invite?
I made sure and handed the invites to the parents with my tel no. And a date to RSVP by but a few haven't bothered to say yay or nay

Yes because they don't!
I agree that it's crap, but get used to it (I always RSVP)
I got some RSVPS up to 20 mins before DS's party started - USEFUL LOL!

and don't be surprised if the ones that did rsvp decide to not show anyway. I don't think yabu, it's one of my own pet hates along with drivers who can't indicate.

monkeymoma · 30/05/2012 20:12

and most who do RSVP just do so to ask if they can bring extra siblings

AnneofGreenFables · 30/05/2012 20:30

I totally agree!! Same thing happened with DS last birthday. Really annoyed me. Just plain rude, doesn't take long to RSVP

I always RSVP too

scuzy · 30/05/2012 20:32

I agree, "respondez s'il vous plait" (I knew my French A Level would come in use one day!)

Damn rude not to do it in any language!
