To shave my sons head.

He's nearly 2 and I have given him a diabolical hair cut. He looks like he came off worst in a fight with a combine harvester!

I obviously mean clippers as I could not countenance the idea of a razor blade next to my little ones head, but this way we could start all over again and try to leave 'hairgate' behind us!

Hairdresser instead, to salvage the hair cut?

what's he like wearing sun hats?

if he's pretty good, i'd probably use the clippers on no4 and then hide the scissors, if not, take him to a professional and leave him alone next time

I did exactly this some years ago - I had done a shocking job. The hair grew back and now I come to think of it, the weather was much as it is now - you could claim it was for temperature reasons? Child in question has the fullest springiest head of hair ever now too. So I think YANBU.

You make an excellent point- no he won't wear a sun hat, however he is white blond so it's not doing a lot if good as sun protection anyway.

I was planning in blaming the weather!

I did this too to my ds when he was about three. First time I'd used clippers mucked it up and thought "sod it" and shaved it all off. Oh dear, dh hated it, he looked like a prisoner of war! Luckily it didn't take long to grow in a bit.
