Frankly they can't afford them, nor know their value.

Opinions are free and non means tested!

It's the rich who shouldn't have opinions

lardylump · 29/05/2012 09:06

ok. i'm poor. I had to walk 5 miles ot the supermarket to get the most for my £10. at the till the woman said to me 'if you buy the Sun you get £5 off your shopping today'

and i said no.

that food would have choked me. i'd rather eat baked beans for a week with no bread, than eat with stuff supplied by the sun.

what should i have done?

LST · 29/05/2012 09:06

The rich can have an opinion when they have spent a week on the breadline.. Ooo how'd they'd cope...

thebody · 29/05/2012 09:09

My goat goes to private goat school.

Dawndonna · 29/05/2012 09:14

I have no opinion on this whatsoever. I have a wide screen telly!

LineRunner · 29/05/2012 09:14

Get Jeremy Kyle on, quick.

LadyWidmerpool · 29/05/2012 09:15

No one's getting chippy now are they?

SillyBeardyDaddyman · 29/05/2012 09:16

tantrums payslips? Payslips? Fuck off peasant before I set the hounds on you!

CharlieUniformNovemberTango · 29/05/2012 09:17

This sounds like a good idea actually. I think all opInions and decisions should be taken away from me this instant.

I might actually get some sleep if I don't have to think about all this poor persons crap!

Very generous of you to offer op :)

I'll pm you with a list of things that I need to do or think about and you can tell me what to do.

Now I can spend my day scaring my fainting goat! Good times :o

MadameOvary · 29/05/2012 09:21

It depends Hully.
Ooh, that Primark T-shirt's quite nice = acceptable.
Hmm, Britain should join the Euro = unacceptable.

Hullygully · 29/05/2012 09:21

lardylump - I am afraid not buying the Sun veers dangerously close to an opinion.

OTOH, one must applaud the level of sacrifice you are prepared to make.

Now we are straying onto questions of a moral and ethical nature.

These are advanced questions and utterly beyond the poor however.

NicNocJnr · 29/05/2012 09:27

Humm.
Well one's antecedants are filthy rich. One is, however, stoney.

So do I get an opinion, get no opinion or get some sort of opinion allowance?
I do know how to have an opinion due to once having 3 cars and room for a pony but now I have patched trousers and have touched the inside of a bus.

I am confused because I have no money but I am not poor
In fact YADNBU! I don't want poor people's opinions taking away, what must be, my eventual access to tax havens and many legitimate write-orfs. I also don't want their nasty goat germs.

roundtable · 29/05/2012 09:39

Hully, who are you trying to fool?

The smell of peasant reeks from you.

One doesn't talk about if they are of money or not, it's terribly vulgar.

Have they segregated them yet? That make me shudder with their blatantly manipulated opinions.

Poor sheep the lot of them. One of them tried to speak to me in a coffee shop yesterday. Probably paid for with my husbands Tax money

Hullygully · 29/05/2012 10:01

TRIED TO SPEAK TO YOU?

I hope it was to give up their chair and not offer an opinion?

I thought the thread read 'onions' when I first glanced. I was wondering what other pickled vegetable I might have with my fish & chips.

CailinDana · 29/05/2012 10:02

Hully you need to start wearing a helmet dear. The world really is too much for a sensitive soul like you.

Hullygully · 29/05/2012 10:03

I do, Cailin, in fact I am going to get myself a portable Michael Jackson bubble to go about in. And a pomander.

bejeezus · 29/05/2012 10:04

poor people are poor because they are thick, so of course they shouldnt be allowed opinions

I think Mumsnet access should be means tested

IAmNotACowbag · 29/05/2012 10:06

Poor people, people who don't have children and smokers are all banned from having an opinion on anything.

Mrsjay · 29/05/2012 10:08

bejeezus see my mumsnet membership idea on another thread >>> its that way something about peasants and middle class and education im sure you will find it

Hullygully · 29/05/2012 10:08

That is a very sound point bejeezus

OP posts:
KateSpade · 29/05/2012 10:12
