To feel a bit icky about naked photos on Facebook?

One of my 'friends' on the lovely Facebook, whenever there is hot weather, almost always posts photos of her young boys (I think 4 and 7) frolicking naked in the garden, house, etc. It comes up on my newsfeed so I can't escape when catching up with other people.

I'm no prude and always thought I was quite liberal but I feel it's a teeny bit icky. These aren't just bum photos ifywim, plus I've no problem with usual kiddie in the bath pics or baby photos or breastfeeding photos - I'm just unsure in this day and age that you should be posting such exposed picutures to the masses.

They are so gonna love her when she's older..

I suppose I can see the other argument of harmless fun and free choice but whenever she posts them I just feel a bit uncomfy.

AIBU - should I bog off back to the Victorian era?? Grin

I suppose the teasing thing when they get to a certain age is fair enough but I can't think of anything more dignified than the human body. I'd be worried about my ds's self-esteem if he was worried about nudity personally.

My SIL works for child protection services and won't allow any photos on her Facebook of her kids. She says you would be amazed what people do with perfectly innocent fully clothed photos so I really wouldn't put any of my kids on naked. I don't go as far as her and I do post pics of my kids but any bath/running naked round the garden would not be on there.

It's not the nudity I have a problem with though, more the decision to post the pics on FB but all resolved now as I've unsubscribed

It was her cover profile so even if you don't know her when you click on her name you are confronted by shots of naked little boys! Shock

Oh well prudish old dear has calmed down now and is reassured by your comments. Am so glad it wasn't just me who was a bit ick about it all!

I work in child protection too and am not hysterical about it and completely agree with MeKathryn.

There are pornographic pictures that peadophiles can access on the net without having to doctor innocent FB pix they have obtained via hacking Hmm.

my friend had a pic of him when he met a page 3 girl at some function he went to. She was topless (but fully dressed on the bottom half), someone must have reported his photos and he also got threatened with a ban if he posted anything similar again. I'm sure the same would appply to naked kid pics
