They get doggy eczema and have a rolling prescription for steroid cream for when it's bad.

I've recently developed a small patch of eczema under my nose. I've been treating it with aqueous cream, or whatever it's called, but it's not making any difference. It's really sore. Would I be unreasonable to use some of the dogs' cream?

Anyone? Or I'll just go ahead and use it and if my face burns off it'll all be your fault :o

It may be a lot stronger than what is perscribed for people and you might be in danger of taking a good few layers of skin off.

Be really careful if you have to go out in the sun.

Personally i wouldn't use it.

I wouldn't myself. You can get cheap mild hydrocortisone cream over the counter from the pharmacy, get that instead.

Didn't know that Threeprinces, will investigate that option. I'm not in the UK so medicines are harder to come by, but it might be a better option than dog cream.

You know you could just go to the docs and get a prescription?

BertieBotts · 27/05/2012 11:34

No, don't. Animal medicines aren't transferable with human ones.

TheUnMember · 27/05/2012 11:36

Outraged I'm not in the UK, getting a docs appointment is a load of hassle and I have to pay for it. I'll do it if I have to, but I'd rather not.

Aqueous cream is shit. Put some oil on, olive or rapeseed or sunflower.

Or buy some low strengh hydrocirtisine.

TheUnMember · 27/05/2012 11:39

Thanks Mad will try that.
