It's the weekend innit....how late do you let yours stay up? Have just realised it is 11pm, which is later than she normally stays up

DD is 8:

School nights 8-8.30pm

Weekends, normally no later than 9.30 BUT with the amazing weather she's been out playing with her friends until 10pm this evening.

I have paid for it though, she was a swine to put to bed as was over tired.

Lesson learned Grin

There have been times that we've had a movie-marathon and she's stayed up til 11ish. It's not like it happens every day and it's not a school night so YANBU.

However, when you have a tired and emotional DD tomorrow you will no doubt come back and say IWBU Wink (just from my experience with my drama queen of course ha!)

so long as she isnt sipping on a diet coke, I am sure she will be fine.. Wink

bejeezus · 26/05/2012 23:09

She'll be fine tomorrow brian, she doesn't really do that over tired thing

Reassured that I'm not a negligent muvver hides empty coke can

Yes, hoping for a slightly later start to the morning!

My 6 and 8 year olds went to bed about half an hour ago after watching the football and a bit of Eurovision. They normally go after the National Lottery show on a Saturday, whatever that time is.

BrianCoxhasSmellySox · 26/05/2012 23:13

Envy can she come round to tell my DD how to 'not do the over tired thing' .

bejeezus · 26/05/2012 23:15
Grin

She is plenty hard work though!

Dd(9) doesnt have a set bed time she takes herself off to bed when she is tired, she has been doing this since about the age of 2/3

obviously dont let her stay up ridiculously late on school nights but on weekends let her go when she is ready to sleep, whether its 8pm or 11pm

if she loses sleep one night will catch up the next and she is really good at getting up in the mornings so i dont feel the need for bedtimes

she is usually asleep by 10pm at the latest.
